Role:  Technical Project Manager (BTIIC)

Department:  School of Computing

Grade: Business Support Grade 9 (£60,001 - £69,527 per annum)

Responsible to: Principal Investigator, BT Ireland Innovation Centre

Campus: Belfast

Fixed-Term until 31st March 2028 / Full-Time


Job Purpose:

The postholder will be a full time, dedicated project manager in the Ulster team, responsible for reporting on progress of all Ulster’s contractual responsibilities to BT.

The role will focus primarily on ensuring strict financial management of the (Ulster) BTIIC budget and track progress of KPIs and deliverables.

The Technical Project Manager will also provide technical research management, direction and operational leadership that will enable the clear interpretation of project requirements and monitoring and assessment of performance and progress. To achieve this, they will play a central role in managing the Ulster University research team’s interactions with BT, with a particular focus on those areas where engineering down-streaming is prioritised.
