Responsible to: Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Campus: Choice of Belfast, Coleraine or Derry~Londonderry
Fixed-Term for one year / Full-Time
Job Purpose:
The Occupational Health Service sits within the People and Culture, Employee Experience directorate. There are two Clinical Leads within the Occupational Health Service, one with primary responsibility for Employee Occupational Health services and one with primary responsibility for the Student Occupational Health services. In addition to delivering on their respective remits, both sides of Occupational Health (Employee and Student) will naturally be mutually supportive, especially when there are peaks in demand on one side or the other. Each Clinical Lead will deputise for the other as needed.
The responsibilities of the Clinical Lead fall into four broad areas:
- To have clinical leadership responsibility for the respective Occupational Health team, ensuring that the team is equipped to support the delivery of defined aspects of the People and Culture Operating Plan. This will include ensuring an agile, empowered, professional Occupational Health Service;
- To be one of two senior professional Occupational Health Nurse Practitioners in People and Culture, with responsibility for developing and delivering action plans, frameworks and approaches in relation to aspects of the respective service (Employee or Student);
- To contribute to the development and delivery of specific parts of the People and Culture Operating Plan; and
- To foster relationships with colleagues across the wider People & Culture department and outside the department in order to identify, prioritise, deliver and assess effective services.
